  Did you see my old and rusty car and wonder why it had a somewhat expensive personalised licence plate on it, which looks rather like a web url? You've come to the right place, I'm going to tell you exactly why I did that.

I have actually owned 02u.com for some time, it was one of the last 'three character' domains to be for sale. I was hoping my stake of Internet Real Estate would net me a profit one day, but instead, today's culture no longer values brevity, but rather accepts long words, or even whole phrases, as long as they're easy to remember.


Owning a short domain name

When I was considering my plight, I thought that I was at a disadvantage in owning a licence plate that resembled others in the Ottawa area. I had never before considered having a personalised plate (it costs over $200) thinking that it was a pointless ego-trip. However, in a flash of inspiration, I realised that  I could combine my need for a personalised plate with my increasingly pointless Internet Asset, and use this site to vent steam about the injustice that befell me.
